Description of the walk

Charance car park.

(S/E) From the car park, walk past the small buildings and head towards the château (follow the signs). When you reach the pond, turn right to go round it.

(1) At the end of the pond, turn left to reach the château.

(2) In front of the château, you can enjoy a stunning view of the town of Gap and the surrounding peaks.
You can stroll through the gardens below the esplanade. Before continuing on your way, you can visit the castle, where the Parc des Écrins visitor centre is located on the ground floor at the rear.

(3) To return, walk along the pond, keeping to the side of the castle, to get back to the car park (S/E).
