Follow the small road to Mandre until the end of the tarmac and park on the side of the road. Do not park on private land.
(S/E) Continue along the track for 200 m and after an S-bend, turn right. You will come to a junction with aPR® sign
(1) Continue to the right, heading north, until you reach a Y-junction (elevation 202). Take the left fork. The path opens onto a balcony with a view to the west and then over the Gardon. When you reach the top of the cliffs, turn right and follow a small path, still on the balcony, to the end of the cliffs.
(2) Turn right towards the south. The path moves away from the gorges, remaining level above a small valley. It climbs and turns again to join a wider path.
(3) Turn left onto this path, which passes through points 184 and 181 and returns towards the cliffs. On the right, behind some bushes, you will see a hole dug into the rock. Go through the hole in the rock (you can also go around it) and reach the edge of the cliff at its end.
(4) Look for a path that descends steeply towards the Gardon and follow it carefully to the river's edge. Follow the riverbank on the right, pass a spring emerging from the rock after about 400 m and continue along the edge. On the other bank, you will see two holes looking down at you from the bottom of the cliff. A little further on, still on the opposite bank, look for a small path that descends into the grass perpendicular to the river. This will indicate the start of the path to take on the right, which is not very visible.
(5) Leave the bank and climb up this path hidden by bushes. It climbs steeply through the box trees and leads to a platform path.
(6) Turn left to see a typical rock with cavities on the back that were used as shelters.
(7) Retrace your steps.
(6) Continue to the left and stay on the path that remains on the balcony. Cross a path, go over the summit mound to discover a series of caves and cavities facing the setting sun.
(8) After visiting and before the last hole, opposite the cave blackened by fire, take the stony descent that drops steeply to the bottom of the valley. Follow this path to the end, which gradually climbs up through the vegetation of holm oaks at the bottom of the valley. At its end (elevation 196), it joins a larger path, which you should take to the left for about 100 metres.
(9) Leave the path on the left and continue to the right, then continue to the left. Finally, turn left onto the carriageway that leads to the car park (S/E).
