When you reach Garrigues, at the town hall, leave the D120 and take the Chemin du Cros.
At the three-way junction, leave the road to the cemetery on your left and continue to the right. Park in the dirt car park about 50 metres further on, on the left (between the two roads) above the cemetery.
Note: to find your way more easily, follow the blue dots.
(S/E) Take the small paved road that passes in front of the cemetery, heading west and winding between vineyards and olive trees. After 1.5 km, follow a vineyard on your right until it ends.
(1) Take a path on the right, ignoring those in the centre and on the left. After following the bed of a stream (dry) and walking on grey slabs, you will come to a small cairn.
(2) Turn right onto the balcony path and, shortly afterwards, take the recently opened firebreak (DFCI). Follow it to the end (high-voltage pylon), take the wide path that climbs to the left and leads to the Plan des Mouges crossroads.
(3) Turn right and stay on this wide path (iris, asphodel, wild orchids) which leads to the Chapeau du Gendarme crossroads.
(4) Turn left and then quickly right onto this wide, comfortable path. At an elevation of 178 metres, you will reach a new crossroads of paths
(5) Continue straight ahead on the same path. Keep to the path heading north-west, ignoring all paths leading off to the right or left. You will arrive a few steps from the entrance to the village of Carnas.
(6) Turn right onto the path and follow it for 800 m to reach an intersection at elevation 113.

(7) Turn right, heading south, and follow a long climb to reach the Grotte du Bois de Paris.
(8) Start by taking the side road with two blue dots that leads to the cave. N.B. Bring a torch and take care when visiting the cave. Retrace your steps.
Leave the DFCI and take the path on the left (south-east) uphill.
(9) You can make a round trip to an orientation table on the left of the path.
Continue south then south-west along the edge of the plateau and, after a sharp right turn, you will come to another fork.
(10) Leave the wide path and take a trail on the left that goes into the woods. At the end, turn left to rejoin the DFCI. Ignore a trail on the right. Further on, you will come to a wind turbine and then a green DFCI water tank. Continue to the right for about 100 metres.
(11) Take the path on the right, then after a small road running alongside crops, return to the car park where you started (S/E).
