Park in the car park of the En Solomiac Cultural Centre.
(S/E) Start the walk by heading towards the children's playground (slide) and turn opposite, following the green arrow.
After a short, slightly steep descent, turn left and follow the Rieubaquié stream to Rue de La Fontaine Baptisée.
(1) At the intersection with Rue de la Fontaine Baptisée, turn right and then immediately left onto Chemin de Gaillaguet (En Dayde II).
At the end of the tarmac road, continue along the shaded path that climbs towards the Cimetière Des Petites Filles Modèles.
Go around the Domaine de Gaillaguet on the left and continue uphill. At a place called En Jeambert, you can shorten the hike by taking the En Jeambert path, which descends to the right.
(2) When you reach the D20G, you have two options:
- go to the Cimetière Des Petites Filles Modèles and back by taking the road on the left and walking 1.2 km.
- Or turn right and follow the D20 for 300 m.
(3) Follow Chemin d'En Bousquet on the left, which descends towards Lac de la Balerme.
(4) When you reach the lake, you have two options:
- you can turn left to go around the lake, which is an additional 5.6 km.
- Alternatively, continue on the right along Chemin d'En Bousquet.
(5) Turn right onto Chemin de Laraignal, which climbs towards Malaret Castle (not shown on the IGN map).
Caution: just before arriving at Laraignal, there is an unsecured well on the right.
200 m after the well, turn right and take the gravel path. Pass under the high-voltage power line and continue right on Chemin de Laraignal.
(6) Back on the D20G, follow it to the left. Beautiful view of Verfeil.
(7) At a place called En Garric, turn right onto path No. 5 until you reach the intersection on the way out.
(1) After crossing the Rieubaquié stream, follow it on the left to return to the car park of the En Solomiac Cultural Centre (S/E).
