Park in the car park at Penn an Hent Névez beach. Please note: there are several car parks along this beach, and all of them can be used for this hike, but the description is tailored to the westernmost car park, at Kerbalanec. To get there, from the D6 roundabout in the centre of Louannec, follow signs for Penn an Hent Névez beach, Chemin des Goémoniers.

(S/E) Take the access road to the car park, ignore the streets on the left and continue to the D6 roundabout.
(1) Take the street opposite, towards Salle des fêtes. At the car park, turn left and go up to pass to the right of the village hall and come out onto a street (Rue des Écoles) at the "Foyer rural" bus stop (signpost for the Louannec mills walk).
(2) Follow the street to the right, ignoring the side streets. At the crossroads with a pedestrian plateau, follow the signs for the cemetery. Further on, the street narrows and turns to the right.
(3) Shortly afterwards, at the fork in the road, keep left. Ignore the path on the right at the antenna and you will arrive at the D38. Follow it carefully to the left for about 100 metres and turn onto the first road on the right (dead end) towards Kerizout.
(4) When the road becomes a track, about a hundred metres further on, take the grassy path on the left. Continue for about 800 metres.
(5) Continue along a path leading off to the left. Ignore a path on the right and then, shortly afterwards, at a fork in the path, keep left. You will come out onto the D6.
(6). Cross carefully and take Rue des Peupliers opposite, which enters the Mabiliès district of Louannec. At the small roundabout, keep left onto Rue des Hortensias.
(7) Be sure to look for the second entrance on the right. Turn onto this short stretch of tarmac. After passing a barrier, turn left into the housing estate and continue to the end. A driveway has been created before the last plots, leading to a street. Follow it to the right. After about 300 m, for a round trip, take the access road to the Kerallain chapel and reach the site.
(8) Retrace your steps and take the small road on the right towards Kervégant. Pass the house in this hamlet and continue in the same direction along a path.
(9) At the T-junction in Cabatouz, turn left and then, at the fork in the small roads, keep to the right. Cross a road to follow a path opposite, to the right of a house. When you reach a small road, follow it to the left and then take the first path on the right, which descends into the Ruisseau de Dourdu valley.
(10) Cross the stream (at an old mill). You will soon come to a crossroads; keep left, staying as close as possible to the stream (you will pass another old mill shortly afterwards). Continue until you reach a small road in the hamlet of Nantouar, then turn left to join a larger road. Walk about 100 metres to the right and you will arrive at the Nantouar car park on the hillside.
GR®® Red and White markings
(11) Here you will find a return route. Continue across the car park and, at the end of it, follow the coastal path northwards. Further on, climb a few steps and join a small road at Port l'Épine.
(12) Follow it to the left, pass Pointe de Port l'Épine, then continue on the road and theGR®®, following the coast. An access to the guardhouse viewpoint branches off to the right. Climb up, then descend and take the small road on the right. At the intersection, turn right at the hairpin bend (no entry) and find the steps you took on the way up.
(12) Take the coastal path in the opposite direction to the way you came, until you reach the Nantouar car park.
No markings
(11) It is possible to follow theGR®®34along the road here, but we preferred to follow Penn an Hent Névez beach to the Kerbalanec car park. But be careful! The beach has pebbly sections and is more tiring to walk on. Before returning to the car park, take a detour to the small point just to the west (S/E).
