Start: Parc EcoZonia car park (D 59) near to the Agly river.
(S/E) Leaving the car park, follow the signs for the animal park, pass the park entrance on your left and continue along the asphalt road for 200 m.
(1) 20 m before the fence prohibiting continuation on this road, take the path on the right which descends slightly to a talweg (Còrrec de la Coma d'en Roc). Continue along this path, which runs alongside some vineyards. Join a carriageway and turn left for ten metres or so until you reach a narrow path on the left.
(2) Turn left onto a South-West-facing track which descends for 150 m and then briefly climbs back up to an intersection with a track.
(3) Turn left and go downhill for 200 m.
(4) At the T-junction, take the track to the right, follow it North-West for 700 m to reach a crossroads.
(5) Ignore the right-hand track, continue on the left-hand one and quickly fork right into a talweg (Coma d'en Finestres). Follow this path, which climbs steeply for about 1000 m. Reach the crest (point 418 on the map) at an intersection with a path leading up from the left. Turn right, following the faded yellow markings to the clearly visible Tour de Tautavel or Torre del Far.
(6) 360° panorama including the Corbières with the village of Tautavel, the Pyrénées Orientales range with Canigou, and a view of Le Barcarès and the Mediterranean.
To go back down, take the access path for 50 m, then the right-hand path heading east for 40 m, then South for 200 m. At the intersection, take the left-hand track and continue South-East for approx. 1.2 km.
(7) Just before reaching a vineyard and a military zone sign, turn right and descend South-West, then, after another vineyard, continue in a South-East talweg. Return to the trail from the outbound journey.
(2) Go in the opposite direction to reach the car park. (S/E)
