Description of the walk

The route starts at Place du Marché in Bailly.

(S/E) Join Chemin des Princes and Avenue des Moulineaux to pass under the D307 bridge and reach the Versailles plain.

(1) Turn left off the D307 exit ramp onto the Chemin de la Ferme des Moulineaux.

(2) Turn right onto the Chemin de la Bute de Paris and continue straight on until you reach the Route de Noisy à Rennemoulin (D161).

(3) Cross it carefully and take the Chemin de Chaponval opposite.

(4) At the end of the track, turn left onto the track towards Les Fonds de Chaponval.

(5) At the Trois Voies signpost, turn right onto a path leading towards the track running parallel to the D307.

(6) Cross the D161 and continue along the parallel path until you reach Chemin de la Ferme des Moulineaux, then follow it to the left.

(1) From the D307 exit slip road, take Avenue des Moulineaux and Chemin des Princes to return to Place du Marché in Bailly (S/E).

The park is located in Marly-le-Roi and managed by the Public Establishment of the Palace, Museum and National Estate of Versailles. A sloping park on the south bank of the Seine, its lower part overlooks the centre of Marly. To the east, it is very close to the Louveciennes national forest, from which it is separated by the Route de Versailles. It still features the grand alignments of the Louis XIV era, the layout of the château on the ground, and the drinking trough downstream of the park with its two basins topped by copies of the Chevaux de Marly. The royal gate and the gates of the former château, such as the main gate and the Phare gate, protect access to the estate. The GPX track may prove useful.
