Description of the walk

Park along the fishery, south of the village of Courdemanges.

(S/E) Head west towards Dontreix. At the three-way junction (cross), turn right.

(1) Take the first path on the right. Head north-east between meadows and fields until you reach a crossroads with the Croix de Courdemanges.

(2) Follow the road to the right towards Courdemanges. At the fork at the entrance to the village (elevation 641), turn right. Cross the village, ignoring a turn-off to the left, then one to the right.

(3) At the T-junction, first turn left then right to take a path that soon enters the forest. Turn left at the hairpin bend in the path. Ignore a turn-off on the right, then one on the left, and exit the forest.

(4) At the T-junction, turn right (due south). Further on, enter the forest again and reach a crossroads.

(5) Continue straight ahead (south-west).

(6) At the next junction, follow a forest track to the right. Walk west-northwest then northwest and leave the forest. Continue along the track until you reach the road that runs along the southern edge of the village of Courdemanges. Then turn left and you will immediately find the car park (S/E).
