Delme Post Office car park.
(S/E) At the car park, take the path (ancient Roman road).
(1) When you reach a junction with a small tarmac road, ignore the path on the right (which is the return route) and continue straight on for 60 m to a small car park (unpaved).
(2) Turn right onto a path leading to the orientation table.
(3) At the orientation table, admire the view and locate the points of interest in the Saulnois region. Continue along the path.
(4) At the next crossroads, keep right on the path to reach the base of a very large radio mast visible in the distance.
(5) Cross the small tarmac road (access to the mast) and continue straight on along a path through the meadows. Enjoy the panoramic view to your left as you walk.
(6) At the next junction, turn left onto a small tarmac road leading to Liocourt. As you reach the edge of the village, note the sheepfold housing the shepherd of the Côte de Delme. It is indeed sheep that maintain the landscape of this protected site.
(7) At the crossroads after the sheepfold, turn left onto the path known as the ‘chemin des cerisiers’. It heads roughly south-east and leads to the small car park at the foot of the path leading to the orientation table and then to the junction of the circular route.
(1) There are two options:
- take the path you came along in the opposite direction, which leads directly to the car park.
- turn left onto the small tarmac road to Xocourt (marked on the map).
(8) Thesecond option allows you to stop at the Xocourt fountain for a drink. Continue along the road (main road D155L) which leads to the car park (S/E).
