A beautiful and varied route between village and forest at the foot of the puys. Well worth doing!

I didn't do exactly the route suggested here, but the green and white signposted route recently proposed by the region, which also mainly follows the GR.
The idea of the route is almost the same except that you start from the Col de Ceyssat (or from the Gare Panormique if you take the shuttle bus from Louis Clermont) and the loop after Obly starts at Mazaye.
Numerous opportunities to bivouac after Mazaye in the meadows after Grand Chambois (day 1).
Then day 2 from Grand Chambois towards the Puy de Dome by the north oust and return col de Ceyssat. (shorter in KM but more D+ )
