(S/E) Leave the small car park in the centre of the village of Eydoche, along the D51, heading north-east (to the right) along the same road. Very quickly, before the school buildings, take the small road on the left that climbs towards the wooded hill (Route du Château) and you will come to a T-junction with a sign: Eydoche - alt. 525m.
(1) Turn right towards Flachères/Gourand. Follow the yellow markings until you reach the Étang des Béroudières. Take the first path up to the left (old wooden sign nailed to a tree marked "Madone"). Climb up to the Madone oratory and continue along the same path.
(2) Pass under a high-voltage power line, ignoring the path that branches off to the left underneath it. You are now in the Gourand woods, which you will cross entirely on a relatively straight path marked with yellow signs. Ignore any paths branching off to the right or left and continue until you reach the sign: Gourand - alt. 635m.
(3) Continue straight ahead towards the Flachères water tower. You will pass a tall antenna, a hunting lodge and an underground water tower. You will leave the woods and arrive at the sign "Château d'eau - alt. 625m".
(4) Descend to the right towards Flachères church. Pass the church (take the time to go to the right towards the cemetery before the church to enjoy the view from the Place du Souvenir).
(5) Shortly after the church, don't miss the sign for "Flachères - alt. 600m". It's a little hidden... Go down the grassy path that branches off to the right towards Saint-Didier de Bizonnes. Cross a field (when the grass is high, the path is hard to see). Come out of the field at the bottom on the right of some tall trees.
You will arrive in the hamlet of Le Pilon. Cross the road and go up opposite via Chemin de Béroudière. When your small road turns 90° to the right, you will see a sign: Étang des Béroudières - alt. 572m. Go up the stony path opposite towards Saint-Didier de Bizonnes. Ignore a vague path on the left. At the top of the hill, at a crossroads, go straight on towards an information sign about the pond in front of you.
(6) Go around this sign on the left. A little further on, take the discreet grassy path on the left (yellow markings a little further on). Your path leads to a wide forest track. Leave the yellow markings you have been following since the start and take the unmarked path opposite. Descend towards a small valley and you will come to a small road.
(7) Take this road on the left. It climbs slightly. You will arrive at the hamlet of Le Bouchet. Leave a dirt track on your right. Very soon, at a crossroads, turn right, then very soon after, at a fork, turn right again.
Almost immediately, leave Chemin du Bottaz on your right and continue on the left along Chemin du Bouchet. It descends to Rue de la Mairie, which you take on the right. Pass a stop sign, then the town hall, and you will arrive at the sign for "Saint-Didier de Bizonnes - alt. 560m".
(8) Continue through the village, which is quite long. The road curves to the right (be careful, there is no pavement...). Ignore the two dead-end streets on the left (the last one leads to a nurse's office). Then descend on the left along Chemin de la Fontaine and you will arrive at the D51. Cross carefully to take the small road that descends opposite. You will see a pond on your left and you will find the yellow markings again, which you will follow until the end of the route. Your small road makes a 90° turn to the right.
(9) You will see a sign for Mont Levet - altitude 530m. Take the dirt track down to your right. You will pass a series of three beautiful ponds. When you reach a fork, the path on the right is private (sign). Take the path on the left and you will soon reach the sign for "Les Étangs - Alt. 530m".
(10) Turn left towards Le Souillet.
At a fork, turn right to follow the edge of the woods (on your left) until you reach the sign for "Le Souillet - alt. 525m".
(11) Take the small road on the right towards Eydoche, which you can see in the distance. At the next crossroads, turn right. You will pass a stone cross (Croix du Sabot). Your small road turns to the left.
(12) You will arrive at the sign for "Le Moulin - alt. 510m".
Continue straight ahead, pass the church, turn right and you will return to the starting point (S/E).
