Description of the walk

Park your car at Idless Wood Forestry Commission car park (about opening hours, you can find the link in the "useful information" section below).

(S/E) From the main car park, go straight heading to the barrier (no camping, no fires or BBQ's information), continue this track for 200 metres until you reach two large tracks.

(1) Bear left. Follow this path straight ahead ignoring yellows arrows and paths left or right on your way until your track joins a path entering the forest for 200 metres. At the fork (notice ferns and young trees in front of you), bear right going slightly down until you reach another fork.

(2) From this fork (protecting barrier on your left), bear right again entering the forest. Follow this pleasant path surrounded by conifers along the stream for 2 miles ignoring paths on your right.

(3) This path becomes a track which leads to a junction. Ignore the path on your right (yellow arrow) and go straight ahead. Go past benches on your left, then the track bends right and finally reaches the first fork. Continue straight ahead. You are back to the car park.(S/E)
