Climb up to the orientation table and park your vehicle in the Saint-Jean-en-Royans cemetery car park.
(S/E) Head south, then at the hiking sign, take the path on the left to reach the D209 (Rue Faravellon). Continue in the same direction, cross the Route du Piémont and continue straight ahead. Then continue straight ahead to the hamlet of Les Rimets.
(1) Continue along the paved road to reach the Y-junction at Les Massières.
(2) Continue left to see the suspended stone, which is an artistic curiosity.
(3) Return to the previous crossroads.
(2) Take the sharp left turn and tackle the steep climb. Follow the yellow arrow on the tree. Continue climbing, following the penstock. Along the way, take a moment to admire the view of the valley from the safety of a large rock balcony. Continue to the sign for the Frochet Caves.
(4) Continue left to reach the caves. Then return to the crossroads with the sign.
(4) Turn left and continue to Maison Jourdan, the highest point of the hike.
(5) Stay on the path on the right, descend and, after a few hairpin bends, you will reach the crossroads at Pids de Vignon.
(6) Ignore the path on the left leading to this place and continue straight ahead. Leave the paths on the right and follow the signs to reach the hamlet of Les Lamberts.
(7) Take the Thuire path on the left. Pass a fire hydrant and the sign for Les Lamberts to reach Thuire.
(8) Turn right onto Chemin des Massières and continue along Chemin de Thuire to enter Saint-Jean-en-Royans in the Sablons district. You will come out onto Route du Piémont.
(9) Turn right, then take thefirst left (Rue des Sablons). Keep left at the crossroads, then turn right onto Chemin du Balcon to reach the orientation table, where you will find the cemetery car park (S/E).
