There’s hardly any reason to travel far for this walk, but as we live nearby, we enjoyed it. The paths wind mainly through the forest, offering constant enjoyment. The detour via the arboretum at the start of the walk is truly a feast for the eyes. Despite their exotic names – Himalayan cedar, Caucasian fir, Japanese larch, Canadian thuja – these trees thrive in our temperate climate, displaying a palette of greens and shapes that is a delight to behold.
