Description of the walk

Start: Dover Patrol War Memorial car park Grid ref. TR 373 451

(S/E) With your back to the war memorial, walk straight ahead to cross the wooden gate and walk straight downhill.

(1) At the bottom when you reach another wooden gate on your left-hand side, turn right and keep straight along the clifftop. Soon the path will go downhill entering trees.

(2) As you walk down, cross a wooden gate. Ignore the path on the right. When you reach steps on your left, walk down. Down the bottom reach a car park and St Margaret's Bay car park.

(3) From here, you can either turn left and explore the end of the promenade then walk back to explore the other end of the beach with nice colorful bathing boxes and a welcoming pub "Coastguard". In any case, when you are done, come back to the stairs.

(3) Walk up the stairs again and follow the same way back up to the car park.(S/E)
