Departure from the car park of the town hall and church in Nozay.
(S/E) Opposite the church, follow the main road to the left, Rue du Gros Chêne. Then turn right into Rue du Temple. Pass the water tower and then the cemetery. Ignore a turn-off on the right and continue to the Nozay pond.
(1) Take thefirst left and walk along the pond on your right. At the end, follow the street called Chemin de la Croix Boisée (this street turns right and becomes Rue Claude Monet). At the bottom (Rue Paul Cézanne on the left), take the passage on the right. At the traffic lights, cross the D35 and continue straight ahead.
(2) At the intersection, continue straight ahead and cross the Le Mort stream. Further on, walk alongside the Mesnil-Forget stadium. When the road turns left, continue straight ahead on a dirt track.
(3) Cross Rue du Moulin and go down Rue du Mesnil Forget. Further on, cross the cul-de-sac of the same name on the right-hand side and you will immediately come to a crossroads (stop sign).
(4) Turn right onto Rue de la Roche Garnier. Cross Rue des Sables on the left and continue straight ahead. At the end of the street, continue along Sentier des Fonceaux.
(5) After about 100 metres, take thefirst path on the right that goes up into the forest. At the next intersection, go up to the right on a winding path. This will take you to the plateau (view of the valley and, on the left, the Marcoussis National Rugby Centre).
(6) At the end of the path, turn right onto Rue Jean Cocteau, which soon turns left. At Place Georges Brassens, turn right into the passageway. At the end, turn right onto Chemin du Rocher. At the T-junction, turn right onto Rue du Moulin.
(3) At the stop sign, turn left and follow Sentier du Mesnil Forget again. Cross the small bridge over Le Mort stream once more.
(2) Immediately turn right onto the path that runs alongside the stream. Go around a reservoir on the left. Join the D35 and follow it to the left for a few dozen metres. Cross the D35 at the traffic lights and take Chemin Saint-Pierre opposite. Follow this road for about 1.2 km (pass the sign for "La Ville Du Bois").
(7) When the road turns right and changes name, turn left onto the path that enters the Bois de Saint-Éloi (Chemin du Gros Chêne). Then take thefirst path on the right. Pass a first path on the right and continue to the next three-way junction in the road.

At the bottom of the street, cross a stream, turn right and continue along a tarmac path. Walk alongside a riding centre, pass under high-voltage power lines and descend along a well-marked path that is not shown on the IGN map. At the first junction, continue downhill to the left until you reach the bridge.
(10) Cross the bridge over the Rouillon. Immediately after crossing the bridge, turn left (do not follow the main path that climbs to the right and then straight ahead). (11) Cross Route de Nozay and follow it to the left, taking a cycle path that runs parallel to it. Pass under the high-voltage power lines again and ignore any turn-offs on either side.
(12) After the roundabout, continue straight ahead, then cross to join the cycle path, which is now on the left-hand side of the road. Walk past a stadium and tennis courts on your left. At the roundabout, continue along Rue de Villarceau. Take thesecond street on the right towards the town centre. At the end, turn left onto Rue de Versailles and you will soon reach the town hall and church of Nozay (S/E).
An interesting and varied route enjoyed in beautiful sunshine. A minor issue at the 5 km mark with a discrepancy between the Visorando screen and the map for climbing the zigzag path. Quite a lot of mud near the stables... Recommended on sunny days.
