Park in front of Bourré cemetery (car park).
(S/E) Head north-east and follow the Route des Gouesches. Atthe first junction, turn left onto the Chemin du Musée. After about 50 metres, climb a steep path on the right (red and white markings ofthe GR®41).
(1) You will come out onto Chemin du Manoir; follow it to the left. Cross the D62 road and take Chemin des Acacias opposite. Pass the corner of the cemetery and arrive at a junction.
(2) Turn right here. Stay on the road (let theGR® head off to the left) and continue straight on until you reach a crossroads.
(3) Take thesecond path on the left. Ignore a turn-off on the left, go downhill and join the D62a. Follow this road, turning right and going downhill, towards Vallagon.
(4) At thefirst junction, turn right onto Chemin du Chêne Vert (joining theGR®). Let theGR® branch off to the left and continue along a path that climbs into the forest.
(5) At the junction, turn left. Go straight on, cross a small road and then, very soon after, the D764. At the next junction (elevation 130), continue straight on to reach the Carrefour du Marchais Gibault.
(6) Take thesecond path on the right (north-north-west). After a flat section, go downhill, cross a path and go back uphill to reach the Carrefour de la Reine.
(7) Then turn left. Continue straight on (west) until you reach the Route de Vallières (D26). Follow this road to the right for about 500 m.
(8) Then turn right onto a path (Allée du Grand Pot Roge). Continue straight ahead (east). Pass through the Rond du Roi, ignore all side paths and reach the Carrefour de la Garette.
(9) Then turn right. At the next junction, turn left. Continue straight ahead and cross the D764 again. A little further on, cross another road and continue straight ahead for another 1.2 km or so.
(10) Then turn right. Further on, cross a road and continue along the path opposite. At the next junction (elevation 129), turn left.
(11) Cross the Route des Gouèches and take the first turn right then left to join a small path (south). Just after a reservoir on the left, turn left. Join a wider path and follow it to the right for about 200 m.
(12) Then turn left and head downhill (watch out for slippery conditions in wet weather). At the bottom, turn right and follow the Chemin de la Dube.
(13) At this three-way junction, veer left. At the next junction, turn sharply left onto Chemin Saint-Germain. After about twenty metres, turn right. You will soon reach a road; follow it to the right until you reach the car park (S/E).
