Saint-Thibaut Hermitage

Start near Le Festival campsite and the Ourthensia lodge.

(S/E) Cross the N833 with care and head up Rue du Frêne.

(1) At the top of this street, turn left onto Rue Saint-Thibaut.

(2) At the T-junction, continue left onto the concrete path to cross the bridge over the Nahai Stream.

(3) A little further on, take the dirt track on the right which leads into the woods and you’ll reach the chapel.

(4) From the chapel, continue along the path, leaving the large cross of Christ on your right.

(5) Turn right at the fork, go straight on, then take the first path on your right to reach another Y-junction.

(6) Take the path on the right and, at the next Fork in the road, keep right again to enter the Bois de Saint-Thibaut. Carry on until you rejoin the tarmac path.

(2) Carry on straight ahead until you reach the junction with Rue du Frêne.

(1) Turn right and head back to your starting point (S/E).

No facilities along the route, but there are shops, a restaurant, a campsite, a bar and a lodge nearby.
