Start at the car park on Rue de Sarlan (D755) in Fontcrépon (elevation 522m)

(S/E) From the car park, head up Rue de Sarlan and immediately turn left onto Chemin de l’Abbaye. The tarmac quickly gives way to a dirt track. Turn left at the junction with a cross-path to follow the Palle stream, then veer away from it.
(1) Once past the D760, keep left at the fork to follow the contour lines. Ignore the path branching off to the right.
(2) Take the cross-path on the right, heading uphill. Ignore the side paths.
(3) At the crossroads (elevation 528), continue straight ahead uphill.
(4) At the junction, turn onto the path on the right then immediately left. Turn right downhill until you reach a hard-surfaced track. Turn left onto the D760 towards the village of Yronde.
(5) Turn onto Rue Sous les Treilles shortly after the first houses. After passing the Romanesque church, turn right downhill onto Chemin de la Roche, which heads south. Ignore the turn-off to the right and continue straight on until you reach Rue des Meules, then keep right onto the D755.
(6) Leave the tarmac after about a hundred metres, keeping to the left onto an uphill path (altitude 560m). Take the sharp left-hand bend onto the cross-path and continue uphill until you reach a compacted track.

(7) Turn right onto the hard-packed track and head uphill. Ignore the side paths.

(8) At the junction (elevation 673), stay on the hard-packed track, keeping to the right to head towards Le Puy Moriot before beginning a descent.
(9) Leave the compacted track when it bends to the left and take a path on the right leading downhill (elevation 638). Ignore the side paths and follow the busiest path until it becomes tarmac on the outskirts of Fontcrépon.
(10) Turn left onto the D755 or Rue de Sarlan to return to the starting point of the walk (S/E).
