Passing through the village of Saint-Maurice-d’Ibie

This walk, starting from the Camping du Sous-Bois, takes you along paths through woodland. There is a ford as you cross through the village. The path then climbs again. You can pick wild thyme and sage.

Description of the walk

Start from the car park in the pasture at the entrance to the campsite.

(S/E) Leave the car park, cross the D558 and take the path towards Saint-Maurice-d’Ibie, then carry on straight ahead.

(1) At the junction, turn left.

(2) Turn left onto the path leading downhill. At the bottom, first turn left then right, cross the ford (about 30 to 40 cm of water) and continue straight on until you reach the road.

(3) Follow the road to the right until you reach the village. At the square, first turn right then left and take Rue du Portail until you reach the D558.

(4) Turn right and follow the D558. After the bridge, take the path going uphill opposite and carry on straight ahead.

(5) Turn left at the junction and keep going straight on. Then take the first right and join the Route de Valvignières.

(6) Turn right and follow the road for about 900 metres.

(7) Take the path on the right and head back to the junction you passed on the way there.

(1) Continue to the left and head for the car park (S/E).
