Parking and start of the hike Place de La Fontaine in Mauperthuis 77
(S/E) When leaving the car park, turn right. Carefully cross Rue Montesquiou (D402) and, at the fork immediately ahead, turn left into Rue Bel Air.
(1) At the end, at the corner of the church, turn onto Rue du Pré Denis. Cross Rue Montesquiou (D402) again carefully and continue straight ahead.
(2) At the next crossroads, go straight ahead and pass in front of the town hall. You will come to an intersection on a right-hand bend.
(3) Turn left onto Rue du Pressoir and then immediately left onto Rue du Saussois. When the road curves to the right, turn left onto a path. Continue straight ahead, pass Moulin d'Épaillard and rejoin the tarmac road.
(4) Turn left onto Rue du Saussois and cross the Aubetin. At the end of the street, turn right onto Rue de Sainte-Aubierge and walk along the Aubetin on your right. Pass the hamlet of Les Ébards. At the next buildings, turn left to reach the Sainte-Aubierge Chapel (spring, wash house).
(5) Follow a path on the left (south then south-west). Carefully cross Rue de l'Obélisque (D25), continue on the path opposite and enter the forest.
(6) You will come out onto a wide path, the Route de la Haute Borne, and follow it straight ahead, heading west. Cross the Route de l'Essart and continue west. Further on, join a PR® (yellow markings) and continue straight ahead. At the T-junction, turn left onto the Route de la Tour de Lumigny and you will soon reach a crossroads.
(7) Take the first right, the Route Forestière Royale. Pass the Mare du Haricot on your right and continue north-west to the Carrefour de l'Étoile.
(8) Turn right at an acute angle onto Route forestière de Marganat. Then take the first path on the left, heading due north.
(9) At the end, turn left. Shortly afterwards, take the first path on the right.
(10) Turn onto the first path on the right (GRP® de la Brie Verte, red and yellow markings). Wind your way through the undergrowth and cross two paths.
(11) At the T-junction, turn right onto the GRP®. Continue straight ahead, heading south-east, until you reach a triangular crossroads (covered table and benches).
(12) Then turn left twice and follow the Route de la Tour de Lumigny north-east, still with the GRP®.
(13) At the crossroads, if you wish, continue straight ahead (without the GRP®) to reach a picnic area at the Maison forestière des Bordes.
(14) Retrace your steps.
(13) Follow the GRP® to the left (to the right if you did not make the return trip to the picnic area) and walk due east. Take the second path on the right, heading due south.
(15) At the crossroads, turn left and continue straight ahead, heading east, until you reach the D25.
(16) First turn left then right to cross the road carefully and continue along a path. Pass a stud farm on your right. At the crossroads, turn right and you will immediately come to Rue de Brie.
(17) Follow this street to the left. Ignore a small street on the right and continue to a road perpendicular to the place called Farvache.
(18) First turn left then right to cross the road and cross the main branch of the Aubetin. Go straight ahead on a path and cross another branch of the Aubetin.
(19) Carefully cross Rue des Coteaux and continue straight ahead on Rue d'Esse.
(20) At the next junction, turn right onto Chemin du Brulis. Immediately pass a path on your left and continue south.
(21) You will come out onto Rue du Pressoir. Follow this road to the left until you reach the intersection you took at the start of the walk.
(3) Turn right and continue straight ahead along Rue du Parc. Pass the town hall and cross Bricot on the right-hand side.
(2) Turn right at the next street, Rue des Noyers. At the end, turn left and you will immediately reach Place de la Fontaine (S/E).
