Old yellow markings still clearly visible.
(S/E) From the car park, turn your back on the village, walk past the tennis court and turn left to find a sign a few metres further on indicating: Serralongue 2.5 km.
Just after the fountain, the climb includes a tricky section, indicated by signs posted on site. Other signs posted on site emphasise that the forest is private property. Stay on the yellow-marked trail.
After a steep climb and a few hairpin bends, you will reach a crossroads.
(1) Take the flat track on the right. Pay attention because after about 200 m, you will see the marked trail that branches off to the left (unfortunately not very visible). Old wooden post.
(2) Turn left. Be careful on the descent, which is quite steep in places.
You will come to a track which you cross by taking the marked path parallel to the track that branches off to the left. Then turn left, descending towards the stream, then right (marking on a tree), then cross the Lamanère (Ribera de la Menera) on a concrete footbridge and climb back up. Leave this good path and turn right into the forest to cut across a track further on and take the climb opposite to join a concrete track.
(3) Turn left to reach the centre of Serralongue. Cross straight ahead at the crossroads. Stroll through this beautiful, typical Catalan village and reach the Church of Sainte-Marie via the Medieval Museum.
Turn left at the church and you will come to an intersection with steps opposite and a road on the right.
(4) Continue straight ahead up the steps to reach the Conjurador Tower and its orientation table, which offers a magnificent 360° panorama.
(5) Go back down to the intersection.
(4) Take the road on the left to walk alongside the cemetery on your right. Pay close attention: you will need to leave the road.
(6) Turn right along a fence onto the small path: the signposting leaves something to be desired. A little further on, turn left through another scrap metal pedestrian gate. Be very careful: 100 m further on, on the right in the woods, go through another new scrap metal pedestrian gate. Further down, cross the D44 road, turning right towards Galdares. A few metres further on, at the intersection, continue straight ahead on the path (route No. 3) which leads to Galdares. Go down towards the road.
(7) Once in the hamlet, take the road on the left and follow it for 500 metres before taking a concrete track on your left.
(8) Go up this DFCI V67 track on your left and stay on it for 2 km, ignoring all the side tracks. This will take you back to the junction you came to at the start of the route.
(1) Turn right and follow the outward route in the opposite direction to finish your hike and return to the car park (S/E).
