Park in the Parc de Montjuzet car park, accessible via Rue Peire l'Alverhne.
No signposts
(S/E) Walk up the access road to the car park, follow Rue du Parc de Montjuzet to the left and you will arrive at one of the park entrances. Follow the concrete path to the playground on the left. Then turn right onto the gravel path and immediately go down the stairs on the right. Stay on this main path/staircase which crosses the Mediterranean garden, gradually descending, and leads to a crossroads. Follow the path on the left (towards the east).
When leaving the Mediterranean garden, do not continue straight ahead (eastwards) along the path lined with young trees, but turn right at the hairpin bend. At the next three intersections, turn left, then right, then left again at the hairpin bends. The path then crosses an area with a few fruit trees, then runs alongside the trellis of an eco-grazing area. Go down the steps at the end of the path and continue on the concrete path that descends and leads to one of the park gates.
(1) Cross Rue de Beausoleil and take Rue André Bal opposite. At the bend in the street, continue straight ahead on a very narrow concrete path. When you reach a street, cross it and follow Rue Victor Dupuy opposite. Turn left onto Rue Eugène Pelletan, then, about 40 metres further on, turn right onto a passageway. Cross Boulevard Lavoisier and continue along the passageway opposite. Cross Rue du Clos Notre-Dame and follow Rue Paul Diomède opposite, slightly to the right. At the next complex crossroads, turn left and follow Rue du Pont Naturel.
(2) Pass in front of the mural by artist Loraine Motti (which has no official name but corresponds to the "Jardin de Saint-Alyre" in the title of the walk), continue to the next intersection and follow Rue Saint-Alyre to the left until you reach Boulevard Lavoisier. Cross it and turn left, cross the two lanes of Boulevard Gordon Bennett, then turn right onto Rue de Montjuzet. Further on, turn left onto Rue des Aubépines and arrive at an entrance to Parc de Montjuzet at the signpost of the same name (fountain). Note theGR®® markings.

(3) Enter the park and climb a flight of steps. Further up, follow the staircase on the left, then the path that runs along a low wall on the left. Continue straight ahead. Further on, pass a rectangular structure on the right and arrive at the orientation table (viewpoint).

(4) Turn right, keep right at the fork in the paths (pass the chromatic induction fountain), join a path and follow it to the left. At the fork in the paths, in front of the technical services buildings, turn right. Turn right at the hairpin bend in front of a gate, continue along this path which descends and leaves the park. Take the street on the left, ending up on Rue Armand Fallières and follow it to the right. Turn left as soon as possible and follow Rue des Chanelles to the left. Turn left onto Rue des Bouys, continue along Rue Jean Monnet and go to the intersection with Rue Jacques Brel, which branches off to the right. Walk up and down this street to admire the mural celebrating the Amazon rainforest by the End To End collective.
(5) Return to Rue Jean Monnet and continue to the right. After a bend in the street, walk about 20 metres to the right on Rue Victor Charreton, then turn left onto Rue des Gravouses.

At the roundabout, follow Rue de Nohanent to the left, cross Rue Armand Fallière and, after about 100 metres, turn left onto Rue du Parc de Montjuzet, then turn left towards the park car park (S/E).
A beautiful route for exploring the heights of Clermont-Ferrand + undoubtedly the narrowest passage in the city. A hike we will definitely be doing again. Many thanks to its designer.
