From the village of St-Georges-sur-Loire to the Loire

(S/E) From the Abbey Gardens, turn right down towards the Étang d'Arrouet. Walk along the right-hand side of the pond, then continue straight on to the Nisvelle roundabout.

(1) Cross Rue de Chalonnes and continue right on the footpath along the shopping area.

(2) At the roundabout, cross and turn left towards La Miraudaie.

(3) At the Miraudaie exit, continue along the path on the left that runs alongside Route de Chalonnes, D961.

(4) At the intersection, continue straight ahead on the grassy path. At the end of the path, take the path on the right, then turn right again onto the D111 road to reach the place known as La Gare.

(5) Continue along the D111, then take the D961 on the left and pass under the railway bridge, then take the stairs immediately on the left. Continue along the railway line.

(6) At the end of the path, take the path on the right and pass Le Cassoir. Continue straight ahead. At the Sansonnets crossroads, continue straight ahead on the Chemin des Trois Œufs.

(7) Take the first path on the right between the market gardens. At the end of the path, follow the road to the right and then immediately to the left.

(8) Then take the first left onto Rue des Mésanges. Cross Route de la Levée (D210) to take the path opposite and descend to Cale du Grand Bras.

(9) Walk along the Loire on your right and pass under the D961 bridge. Continue along the Loire on the path, then turn onto the first path on the right. Then turn left at the three-way junction to return to Route de la Levée (D210).

(10) Take it on the left on the right-hand side until you reach the Boyau water station, then immediately turn right. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead on the path, cross the railway bridge to reach the hamlet of Éculard.

(11) Take the street on the left, then immediately turn right onto Rue Lourdaise. At Chanteloup, continue straight ahead and follow the path on the left. At the end of the path, carefully cross the D961 and take the track opposite until you reach the fork you passed on the way there.

(3) Turn left towards La Miraudaie in the opposite direction to the outward journey.

(2) At the roundabout, continue straight ahead to reach the shopping area via the footpath on the right. Turn right at the intersection and go under the road bridge, then continue left to the D311.

(12) Cross it and continue straight ahead. After the old Grandes Landes silkworm farm, turn onto the path on the left and walk carefully along the D961.

(13) At the end of the path, continue straight ahead, crossing the Route de Chevigné D961. Pass under the road bridge and continue straight ahead, walking alongside the cemetery. Continue left at the intersection, on Rue Tubœuf, to reach the Jardins de l'Abbaye (S/E).

Park on the Abbey terraces or along the Gardens. The route is marked in yellow from stage (1) to (6).
