Description of the walk

Car park: in the small square in Bergognon

(S) From the car park, continue along the road that runs between two houses. Barely 100m further on, turn right onto the “Villespasses 6.1km” route, following the yellow markings.

(1) Just past the houses, at the junction, turn left onto a wide path that leads to the Bois de la Berque and leave theGR®44on your right heading towards La Prade.

(2) When you reach a junction, take the path on the left and do the same at the next one. Stay on the main path, which zigzags several times and joins the road leading to Villespasses.
Turn right onto this road, which goes round the village.

(3) When you reach a fork, take theGR®44on the left towards Bergognon. Walk through the village and continue straight on along the path through the chestnut trees.

(4) Cross the stream and continue along the path on the right to reach the road. Cross the road and take the path opposite towards Bergognon.

(5) Continue along the road and turn right at the first street to return to the starting point.

Worth a visit

Between the Bois de la Berque and Villespasses, I was lucky enough to see wild boars, hear a roe deer bellowing – which I must have disturbed – and come across some cows on the track.

Thank you very much for this lovely walk. As mentioned, the start is quite steep, but the view from the top is well worth the effort! A very pleasant walk through the woods and a small village, with some lovely views to boot.

An easy and pleasant walk, starting from Villespasses, offering lovely views over the Altier Valley.
We stuffed ourselves with blackberries and picked enough mushrooms to make a lovely omelette.

The view is beautiful... 360°…
and I saw a deer...
The path is like a motorway. Very wide. I prefer wooded paths.
