Dragons's Den walks
Circular walk between Burncross and Dragon’s Den
A walk north-west of Sheffield on the edge of the Peak District National Park, through Greno Wood Nature Reserve and the Wharncliffe moorland to the Dragon’s Den site. This rocky spot on the Wharncliffe cliffs is said to be the lair of the famous Wantley Dragon.
Walks near Dragons's Den
High Bradfield to Edale
Nice long day's walk with varied terrain that takes in some of the quieter spots along the route.
Some good paths, but also some potentially boggy sections, including the section along Abbey Brook and the steep pull onto Kinder.
Underbank Reservoir to Ladybower Inn
Nice long moorland walk using public transport to facilitate a linear walk. There are a couple of road miles to start with, but the roads are not too busy. This is not a fun route in poor weather as it's quite exposed and there isn't really an obvious alternative.
