Description of the walk

(S/E) From the Place de l’Église, take Rue des Jardins opposite the town hall. Then turn left and then left again until you reach Chemin de la Vaivre.

(1) Follow it to the right. Pass under the N57 and under the high-speed rail bridge, then take the path on the right. Cross the departmental road and continue straight on. At the three-way junction, turn left and continue straight on, then left again to enter the woods. Keep going straight ahead until the path begins to descend. You will then reach a junction.

(2) Continue to the right along the ridge path through the Bois de Voray. Cross the departmental road and carry on straight ahead until you can go no further. Then turn left to reach a crossroads of paths.

(3) Follow the path on the right down to the village of Breurey. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the fountain, then turn right.

(4) Cross the pastures to reach Rue de la Chapelle. You’ll arrive at the hamlet of Villers-le-Temple.

(5) Turn left onto Chemin du Charensoy to cross the Buthiers.

(6) After the bridge, take the first path on the right and continue through the woods, following the stream, until you reach the high-speed rail line (LGV).

(7) Go under the railway line, continue along the road and go under the N57, keeping to the left. Carry on straight ahead to reach Buthiers Castle.

(8) After the château, take the small road on the right which joins the D31.

(9) Turn left towards Voray-sur-l’Ognon and return to the Place de l’Église (S/E).
