Discover the old Triouzoune power station.

Parking on the edge of the D20 and Lac de la Triouzoune

(S/E). With your back to the lake, turn right onto the D20 and keep right in the bend (take care). Leave the road and take a path on the right, which runs alongside the lake through the woods. Return to the D20.

(1) Cross it carefully, take the path straight ahead towards Libersac and join the Route de Malivert.

(2) Turn left onto a forest track and continue to the next fork. Leave the forest track and continue on the left until the next junction.

(3) Turn left at the hairpin bend to reach a crossroads at a bend in the road.

(4) Turn right into what is an old canal and follow it to the end.

(5) Descend on the left at the crossroads (you will see old aqueduct pipes). At the end of the descent, continue on the right and arrive at a stream via a pontoon.

(6) Turn left to reach the Triouzoune.

(7) Before the old stone bridge, turn left and walk along the river to see the old power station dating from 1910. Go up the path on the left after the old power station until you reach a fork.

(8) Take a sharp right turn to return to the crossroads of the old canal you took earlier.

(4) Continue on the right, follow the old canal and continue straight ahead through the old galleries. You will arrive at a crossroads.

(9) Leave the edge of the Triouzoune and follow the forest path that forms a circular loop to rejoin the D20, then turn right and continue to the car park (S/E).

In rainy or winter weather, the trail can sometimes be wet or even muddy.
