From Pointe du Millier to Pointe de Trénaouret via hillside and fields

A walk with lovely views, starting from the Pointe du Millier car park, passing through Pors Péron and the Pointe du Trénaouret, then returning through the fields. A mix of footpaths and small tarmac roads.
For those who can’t stand tarmac, there’s the option of doing a return trip along the coast, without a circular route.

Description of the walk

Head towards “Pointe du Millier”, then park at the Pointe du Millier car park.

(S/E) From the car park, take the steps down towards the sea until you reach the junction with the coastal path (GR®34).

(1) Turn left and follow the path along the coast, alternating between uphill and downhill sections, to reach Pors Peron beach.

(2) Turn left onto the tarmac, then turn right, following the wooden sign for the “Coastal Path”.
Pass the “No Entry” sign and continue along the path that runs along the coast until you reach the woodenGR® post.

(3) Turn right, stay on the same path and go down the steps leading to Pors Lanvers slipway.

(4) Once you reach the slipway and the rocks, continue along the path that starts opposite. After a few minutes’ walk, Pointe de Trénaouret offers a beautiful view, with a lovely beach on the western side in particular.

(5) Continue along the path for a few metres and, once you have crossed halfway up the beach, take the small path that climbs to the left and leads to a car park. Walk alongside the car park and turn right onto the tarmac road towards Kerodoret.

(6) Then turn left towards "Kerlavarec". Just after the "No Through Road" sign, take the dirt track on the right. Continue along this track until you reach the stone houses. Then turn left, and at the tarmac road, continue right until you reach the junction.

(7) Turn left towards “Pont lliz”. Then, at the “Pont Devet” sign, continue straight on to reach another junction.

(8) Turn left towards "Pors Péron". Before the "Pors Péron" sign and the "45 km/h" sign, turn right onto "Hent Mesmeur", pass a road on the left and reach a Y-junction.

(9) Turn left and continue due north for about one kilometre.

(10) At the house, the path becomes a dirt track. Follow it, including round the bend to the right (do not take the route to the left), and rejoin the D407 crossroad.

(11) Turn left (signposted “Dead end”) until you reach the car park (S/E).

Due to the heatwave, I decide to do the route in reverse.
There are so many roads, but you can take a farm track between 7/8 heading towards KERSUDUAL and halfway along take a path that runs parallel to the road.
The GR is superb, a little rough but easy going.
You absolutely must go to Pointe de Millier, but above all, visit the mill (next door) for a free tour and some flour and local products.
A quick hello to two Savoyards who were doing the normal tour... they must have melted on the road.
