Description of the walk

To reach the starting point: take the Tibus (bus service) from Paimpol.

(S) From the Arcouest pier car park, walk up the road for a few metres then take the path on the left (markedGR®34) which climbs quite steeply and continues with steps. At the top of the steps, turn right and walk back to enjoy the beautiful view. Retrace your steps and continue straight ahead on the sparse hills.

(1) Continue right on the small road (Chemin du Rohou). Leave the campsite road on your left and continue straight ahead to reach the small square surrounded by houses. Cross the square and continue along Impasse Gardenn Ar Spern Du, almost opposite (markedGR®34).

At the end of the path, turn right and continue straight ahead along Chemin Pierre et Marie Curie. At the end of the path, leave the property opposite and continue along the path on the right. You will arrive at a pretty hamlet.

(2) Just after the steps, you can take a very beautiful path (impressive stones) that descends to the left. Lovely view of Launay Bay.
Continue on theGR®34, which descends and takes you past the Maison Notéric (Paule Lapicque Reserve). Continue along the shore, walking on the pebble strip.

(3) At the slipway, leave the coastline by turning right. At the next crossroads, turn left and continue along the road on the left, which ends in a fairly steep path. When you reach the road, turn left and go straight up to reach the Croix des Veuves.

(4) Follow the path that descends below the calvary and leads you to the Chapelle de la Trinité. At the chapel, turn left and then immediately right to make a round trip to the Pointe de la Trinité. Retrace your steps back to the chapel and turn left. You will walk alongside pastures. At the end of the path, continue straight ahead along the access road. At the crossroads, ignore the road that descends to the left towards the port and go up Rue Pierre Loti on the right.

(5) Leave this street and turn left onto Venelle du Lavoir (GR®34signpost). Continue to follow the coastal path until it brings you back to the road via a very narrow path. At the road, continue to the left. Walk about a hundred metres, then take the steps going up to the right and follow the path. Back at the road, turn left and then immediately right to reach the chapel of Perros-Hamon.

(6) With your back to the chapel, go straight ahead and follow the road to the village of Ploubazlanec. Continue along this road until you reach the traffic lights. At the traffic lights, continue straight ahead to the cemetery (Mur des Disparus).

(7) At the cemetery exit, cross the square and take Venelle Adrienne Tanguy, which descends between the houses opposite. At the end of the alley, continue along the road almost opposite and turn right to reach Chemin de Traou Ar C'hoad. At the crossroads, continue downhill to the right, then continue straight ahead. Pass by a wash house and arrive at a triangular calvary (Croix Cornic).

(8) At the calvary, turn right. You will pass some beautiful farms. Continue straight ahead.

(9) Leave the road that branches off to the right and take the access road to the houses, which continues straight ahead and ends in a path that climbs towards the Kerroc'h Tower. At the crossroads, take the right-hand path, which will take you back to the tower car park via a small road. Walk to the tower and back. Go back down and take the access road you came up on. Once past the houses, take the small path that goes down to the right. When you reach the road, turn left and then continue on the right to walk along the bay.

(10) Continue straight ahead along the path to follow the coastline. At the crossroads, continue to the right to walk along the dyke that runs alongside the reed bed and arrive at the rear of the buildings in the maritime zone.

(11) Cross the car park and continue along the path opposite. Then turn left and then right to walk along the harbour front and reach the port of Paimpol. Walk along the port and at the roundabout, take the first exit, pass in front of the post office and reach the station (S/E).
