Description of the walk

The starting point of the circular walk is at the car park of the Saint-Pierre-Quiberon sports centre (Rue du Stade). In this car park, look for the walk’s starting marker with the QR code giving access to the interactive map. The white sand martin will then indicate the direction to take.

(S/E) From the car park, turn right and cross the D186a road to reach the path signposted as a ‘no through road’ for cars. Continue straight ahead.

(1) After the vineyard on your left, turn right onto the path.

(2) Turn left onto the small dirt track that leads downhill, then take the path on the right after the stream. Look out for some beautiful dry stone walls.

(3) At the junction, take the path on the left towards the Locmaria tower, then carry on straight ahead at each junction, following the white swallow-shaped markers.

(4) At the junction with the road, take the road on the right towards the village of Kerné. At the crossroads, keep left.

(5) In the village of Kerné, take Rue de Port Kerné on the right, signposted as a cul-de-sac from no. 37 to no. 87. At the end of the road, turn left.

(6) Before the coastal road, head up the small sandy path on the right. Further on, the path crosses the moor.

(7) Head towards the car park on the left and cross the D186a road to join the wild coast path. Continue to the right along this path with the ocean on your left. The path passes through fragile natural habitats (cliffs, salt-tolerant grasslands); please stay on the path. Stay along the coast until you reach the Port Blanc arch.

(8) After the Port Blanc arch, take the path on the right and head towards the Kergroix business park on your right. After the business park, take Rue du Couchant on the left. At the end of the street, there is a wash house to discover behind the vegetation before turning right.

(9) On reaching the village of Kergroix, take Rue de Kergroix on the left, then Route des Tamaris on the right, until you reach the D186a departmental road.

(10) Follow it for a few metres until you reach Rue du Stade, then follow it to the right. The starting car park is at the end of this street on the right (S/E).
