Description of the walk

(S) Exit Carcavelos station and head south along Avenida Jorge V. When you reach the roundabout just before the ocean, take the underpass that goes under the road and leads directly to Carcavelos Beach.

(1) Turn left and walk along the beach to its end. Climb the small stairs and continue along the rocks.

(2) If sea conditions allow (beware of powerful and sometimes unpredictable waves), go to the rocky promontory to admire the Fort Sao Juliao da Barra. Continue along the sea, join a wide avenue and take the footpath on the right. Walk along Torre Beach and then descend towards the marina.

(3) Continue along the same footpath that runs along the coast to Santo Amaro Beach.

(4) Cross the road via the underpass accessible via the ramp at the beach. Turn right at the exit, then walk back up towards Santo Amaro station (E).
