Cacilhas district of Lisbon

Located opposite Lisbon, on the other side of the Rio Tejo, accessible by taking the ferry at "Cais do sobré", it is a popular and authentic neighbourhood in Portugal. It is a former fishing village that was home to a shipyard.

The route around the ferry terminal is very interesting.
Do stop off to visit the submarine and the frigate. It’s impressive!
To get up to the site of the gigantic statue of Christ, I recommend taking a bus. On foot, the route is rather uninteresting.
