Depart from the car park (P2) at Lac de Trémelin, located 4 km from the village of Iffendic.
(S/E) Head to the right of the leisure park. Pass the Tourist Office and, just before the sailing school, take the path on the right, which runs alongside the car parks (P1) and then the small access road to the Trémelin site.
(1) When you reach the D61 (caution: busy road), turn left, then immediately right onto the gravel path. After 500 metres, leave thePR® and turn left onto a steeply descending path. Cross the small stream and continue first to the right, then to the left on a gravel path that will soon start to climb.
(2) At the edge of the woods, when you reach a crossroads with several paths, take the one opposite, crossing a grassy area on both sides. After 150 metres, as you re-enter the woods, turn right onto a path leading to the motocross track. Follow this path to its main entrance. Go down the access path to cross a small road and reach the Chambre au Loup car park. Cross it to enter the Chambre au Loup estate (information board at the entrance to the site).
(3) 120 metres after entering the woods, take the path on the right to reach the heights of the Chambre au Loup valley. Continue by taking a small path on the left that joins the main path, still on the heights of the valley, among the pines and gorse. At the first intersection, take the path on the right that descends towards the end of the pond.
(4) Cross the footbridge to climb back up to the heights of the opposite slope, to the second pond known as Ozanne. When you reach the grassy path, turn right near an old house, then immediately left to re-enter the woods.
(5) Cross another footbridge and climb towards the rocks (called Château des Guénâs). 150 metres after crossing another small stream, at the intersection of paths, take the one on the right that climbs and crosses the moors.
(6) When you reach a farm track, follow it to the right. At the hamlet of La Touche, cross a first small road, then 700 metres further on, a second. There, take the path opposite that leads to the Boutavent estate. At the ruins of the Château de Boutavent, head south on the access road to the château car park.
(7) At the car park exit, turn left onto the D61 (caution: busy road) then immediately right onto a small road. After 170 metres, enter the woods via a small path on the left leading to a farm track, which itself leads to a small road. Continue straight ahead to enter the Putenoë woods, first along the edge, then deeper in.
(8) Cross another small road to continue through the woods. After 1.1 km, take the path on the left, which joins theGR®37320 m further on. There, follow theGR® on the right until you reach Lac de Trémelin, then walk along it for 600 m.
(9) Cross the footbridge and immediately turn right onto the path leading to the sailing school, go around the back and cross the car parks. Join the Leisure Park on the right and, after passing the Tourist Office, turn left to return to the car park where you started (S/E).
