The decision was made to favour the PR® and GR® trails located near the presumed route of the historic drovers' roads.
(S) From the Hospice de Rioumajou, descend the valley to the GR®105/Voie d'Aure junction.
(1) Take the GR®105 on the left, sheltered from the summer crowds.
(2) Step over a curious sight: a crooked tree, and continue to the natural bridge on the right.
(3) Natural bridge formed by the stream. Continue straight ahead, passing two pretty streams.
(4) Cross the road and descend on the right towards Frédancon, then follow the path on the left to the car park. Take the track on the right, crossing the bridge.
(5) Turn left onto the cattle track, leave the Soubiran Bridge on your left and continue to the Pont Neuf bridge to rejoin the tarmac road.
(6) Unfortunately, you have to continue along the D19 because the GR®105 is interrupted at this point. In any case, this is the route taken by the herds as there is little else available in this canyon. Continue to Pont de Tisné and cross it.
(7) Immediately afterwards, turn left off the road. Continue until you reach a three-way junction.
(8) Keep to the right to rejoin the GR®105, which climbs gently towards the Granges d'Artigues crossroads.
(9) Take the path on the right to descend towards the barns. Once there, cross the large meadow between the barns at a right angle: markings are visible near the first barn. Find the path below, which descends steeply to the village of Tramezaïgues, which you will reach at the Place de la Mairie.
(10) Turn right, pass in front of the wash house and leave the village following the yellow markings.
(11) Cross the footbridge next to the Pont de Camou, follow the D929 for about 50 metres, then turn right onto the small road leading to the strange ghost holiday village of Caneilles.
(12) Leave the hamlet, then continue along the path that descends to Saint-Lary-Soulan, running alongside the departmental road and the Neste d'Aure river. You will arrive at the D25 (Route de Sailhan).
(13) First turn left then right to find the path that runs alongside the buildings on your left and leads to Rue de Coudères. Continue to the right, go to the bend, then turn left to reach the town hall (E).
