Description of the route

Park at the Daon carpooling area.

(S/E) Cross the bridge and take the second right to reach Rue Dominique Godivier.

(1) Continue straight ahead. At the end of the village, turn left towards Saint-Michel-de-Feins and continue to the Tremblaye chapel.

(2) Keep going and turn right onto the road towards "Mortreux (Château)" to reach Mortreux Castle.

(3) After passing the Château de Mortreux, take the road on the left. Continue straight ahead until you reach the intersection.

(4) Continue straight ahead, then take the first left and arrive at a place called "Les Lutz".

(5) Turn right. Before the small wood, turn right and follow the road until you pass the Château des Lutz.

(6) Continue straight ahead to reach the Château de Fautraise at the end of the road.

(7) Turn around until you return to the beginning of the place called "Les Lutz".

(5) Take the road on the right, pass the place called "Le Petit Poirier" and reach the calvary.

(8) Take the road on the left. Continue along this road, first turn right then left. At Torcé, take a right turn and continue to the intersection with the departmental road before the entrance to the town of Daon.

(9) Continue on the road opposite until you reach another intersection and turn right. Keep straight ahead on the main road towards Bac de Ménil.

(10) Take the passage that leads to the ferry and cross the river. Once on the other side, take Rue du Port, go past the church and then take the street opposite (Rue de l'Église). You will arrive at the town hall of Ménil.

(11) Continue on the left, walk along the cemetery and arrive at the wash house.

(12) Leave the village, keep left at the fork and continue until you reach the next fork at the Château de la Magnanne.

(13) Turn left onto the towpath and continue until you reach Château de Bréon.

(14) Follow the riverbank to reach the Fourmusson lock.

(15) Continue along the towpath. Note the Prieuré des Vaux.

(16) Continue and, when you cross the Daon river stop on the opposite bank, join the carpool area on the right to complete the loop (S/E).
