Starting point: Croix du Trève crossroads (junction of the D501 and D33).
(S/E) Take the D33 towards La Ricamarie. Immediately after the sign on the left, indicating the crossroads to motorists coming in the opposite direction (you will see the sign from behind), turn left onto the path that leads into the woods. Follow it closely, even if it is sometimes (depending on the season or circumstances) not very clearly marked in places. After about 150 metres, you will pass about ten metres above the Font-Ria spring, which can be seen on the right-hand side of the path. Unfortunately, there are no information signs or markings.
(1) Return to the road and turn left. Follow the D33 (which is not very busy) for about 2 km.
(2) After Bachat du Plan, turn left onto the small road.
(3) Leave it at the end of the straight stretch and turn left onto the path that descends into the woods. The path is not very well marked in places: persevere to reach the track at the bottom of the valley. Follow it to the left for a few dozen metres. Cross the bridge and continue on the marked path for about a hundred metres.
(4) At this junction, do not go straight up the main marked path, but turn onto the unmarked and less distinct path on the right. After fording two streams, it leaves the woods and joins Labouret.
(5) Turn left, go back up the road and continue.
(6) Turn right onto the Forez - Velay - Vivarais path and climb up to the Croix Verte.
(7) Take the small road on the left. It turns into a track as it enters the woods. Follow it until you reach the D501.
(8) Just before the road, take the path on the left. It is not marked on the IGN map but it exists and quickly takes you back to the starting point (S/E).
