In the Melen countryside

Park on the Place de l’Église Saint-Job.

(S/E) Follow Rue du Centre southwards and turn right into Rue de Cerexhe. You’ll see the fishing pond on your right. For safety reasons, walk on the right-hand side when you reach Rue Jean Toussaint

(1) Cross Rue de Cerexhe with care and take a path on the left.
: At the end of the path, follow the track. Pass the fishing huts and continue straight on, using the farm buildings as a landmark.

(2) Turn left onto Rue du Fatway, which passes over the motorway, and head towards an electricity substation

(3) Follow this concrete path to the left past the electricity substation. Turn right onto Rue du Centre at the statue of the Virgin Mary.

(4) Turn left onto Rue de Labouxhe at the grotto of the Virgin Mary, then take the^second road on the right, Rue Nicolas Monard. Then turn left onto Rue du Cardinal Mercier and pass in front of the Athénée Royale. Continue to the right until the end of the street.

(5) Join the Ravel and head left. Go under the motorway bridge and over the bridge on Rue Labouxhe.

(6) Leave the Ravel on the left at Rue du Parc Hauzeur.
Follow this street until it joins Rue Reux. Turn left and head towards the entrance to a small path leading uphill to the right just as the road bends.

(7) Walk up this path. When you reach the road, turn onto the path on the left. Pass the cattle grids and cross the meadows. As you go, admire the view of the village of Melen and its church. At the end of the meadows, take the path leading downhill. At the bottom of this path, head up to the right onto Rue de la Citadelle.

(8) Turn onto the path on the left, continue to the right when you reach Rue de la Libération, then straight on to the left. Walk down the path carefully. Follow this path to the left twice. Cross the small bridge over the stream and turn left towards Saint-Job Church. Turn right one last time and you’ll arrive back at the car park where you started (S/E).
