Park in the school car park.
(S/E) Take the path that passes between the houses heading west, with your back to the main road. A little further down, join the main road (Route du Haut Bugey). Follow it downhill and, at the end of the bend, turn right onto the D49 towards Plagne.
(1) Take the path that climbs to the right and enters the forest. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the paths that branch off to the right or left, until you reach a wide track.
(2) Follow it for about 150 metres. At the bend, at the "Centre aéré" sign, take the path opposite towards Lac Genin. Join the Route du Lac.
(3) Take the road on the left for 50 metres, then leave it for the path that branches off to the left. At the next fork, keep right to rejoin Route du Lac. Continue in the same direction on the path that often runs alongside it.
(4) Turn left to reach the lake directly after crossing a road.
(5) After a bucolic break, follow the path that goes around the lake on the right. At the entrance to the marshy peat bogs, stay on the path on the right and at the next fork, take the path on the right that runs below the Route du Lac, then joins it.
(6) Follow the tarmac road downhill to the bend, then leave it and take the path on the right that enters the forest.
(7) Turn right onto the steeply ascending path. At the next fork, keep left until you reach the Oyonnax departmental road.
(8) Follow it on the right for 20 metres to rejoin the previous path, ignoring the track that branches off to the right. Rejoin the Oyonnax road, cross it carefully and continue down the path on the right. Cross a small road and join the junction of the Oyonnax road with the Haut Bugey road.
(9) Cross the road and the timber storage platform and take the path on the left that leads into the undergrowth. At the first fork, keep right. Reach and cross Rue du Plane and take Impasse de la Cornua opposite.
(10) At the right-angle bend in the cul-de-sac, take the path on the left, cross the small stream at Combe Chénevière and join Rue de la Penaillère. Turn right. At the fork, keep right on Rue de la Penaillère until the next intersection.
(11) Leave Rue de la Penaillère, turn left onto the road that goes uphill, then at the top of the small hill, follow the path on the right that goes down between large standing stone slabs. Join Rue des Arbépins and turn left. Join and go down Rue de la Fontaine des Crêts to reach Route du Haut Bugey.
(12) Walk down the departmental road for about 200 metres: be careful, there is no pavement. Turn right onto Rue des Combelles to reach the school car park (S/E).
