Description of the walk

Start: Limestone car park, along Underbarrow Road, Kendal. Grid ref. SD 489 924

(S/E) Take the little path on the right of the car park going towards the little wood. Walk in the little wood until seeing a gate on your right.

(1) Turn right to pass the gate and continue straight (North-East) across the field with a dry stone wall on your left. Continue straight until seeing the wall slightly bending on the left.

(2) At the paths junction, leave the wall to take the path slightly on the right going straight North across the field. Continue straight for a moment until seeing a path junction.

(3) Take the path slightly on the left (ignore the path on the right) toward the cairn. The path is slightly going up until the cairn.

(4) At the cairn, turn back and take right to find the lower path by Cunswick Scar. Walk straight following the path until you reach again the path junction.

(2) From here, walk back the same way to reach the car park. (S/E)
