Crowle Moors Car Park to Viewing Tower on Thorne Moors

This walk goes from the car park on Crowle Moor to the viewing tower in the middle of Thorne Moors from where you have a great view of the moors.

Description

(S/E) Follow the path through the gate from car park.

(1) At T junction turn left and follow the path to Bailey Bridge.

(2) At the Bailey Bridge cross the warping drain and turn left. Just after the tilting weir, turn right and follow the path to the south of the small drain. This path can be quite overgrown in the summer. You also need to take care of crossing a boardwalk on this route.

(3) At the junction turn right.

(4) At the junction turn left and follow the track to the Viewing Tower.

(5) From the Viewing Tower, retrace your route to the junction at 4. Turn left and then turn right. Follow the path to the Natural England maintenance shed.

(6) At the warping drain turn left to return to the Bailey Bridge where you can retrace your steps to the car park.(S/E)
