Croix de la Montagne (Cleyzieu) walks
Circular walk from La Falconnière to the Crêt de Pont via Serrières
This long circular route starting from the Albarine Valley takes you across several of the Bugey’s ridges, bringing you close to the Chartreuse de Porte area before returning via the Câline Valley. The climb to the Rochers de la Falconnière is steep and equipped with handrails. The rest of the ridge walk, from the Balcon de la Falconnière to the Crêt St-Martin and then on to the Crêt de Pont via the Golet d’Ars, follows easy forest tracks. The descent is long, starting off steeply through the forest, then, after a short stretch of flat road, involves a slight climb to pass through the village of Blanaz.

The 4 Castles Route – Saint Rambert en Bugey – Saint Germain * alternative route
This route forms part of a route of around 30 km linking four medieval castles (the ‘Circuit des 4 châteaux’).
This is a less demanding alternative to the walk of the same name, and is accessible all year round.
Vaux en Bugey-Siccieu
Fifth stage of the Way of St James. This somewhat long stage takes you across the Rhône at Lagnieu. The rest of the route is less interesting and, above all, involves too much tarmac, but there is no alternative if you want to rejoin the GR®65.
Chevanel - Vaux-en-Bugey
Fourth stage of the Way of St James. A stage through varied, rolling countryside of vineyards, meadows and woods, starting from Neuville-sur-Ain and passing through pretty villages and small towns, ending with a stunning view of Allymes Castle and the Ambérieu plain.
