The Cougoir via the ridges
From its promontory, the Cougoir offers a pleasant 360° view of the surrounding mountains.
The route via the Col de Venterol and the Pas de la Pousterle allows you to climb the Cougoir via the southern ridge. The return journey, via the small wild path along the ridge of the Sauveginoux mountain, takes you through the mountain pastures of the Croix mountain.
Cougoir via La Montagne La Croix
From its promontory, the Cougoir offers a pleasant 360° view of the surrounding mountains. You can admire the mountain pastures of La Croix, the mountains of La Lance, Miélandre, Angèle, Les Trois Becs and Mont Ventoux.
Le Cougoir via La Lance, starting from Teyssières
Easily recognisable by its long, curved shape and visible from afar, La Lance is a must-see peak in the Drôme Provençale. Le Cougoir, perched on its rocky promontory, is an excellent companion peak.
Although these two peaks are modest in height, they offer beautiful views over the Drôme and the Nyons region, particularly of the nearby Miélandre and Angèle mountains, and further south as far as Mont Ventoux.
Thishike is suitable only for walkers with a good sense of direction.

From La Paillette to Dieulefit
The final stage of this trek is a bit more ‘relaxed’, though it still involves some elevation gain and offers a few lovely panoramic views, linking the village of La Paillette to the town of Dieulefit.
From La Roche-Saint-Secret to La Paillette
This is the second stage, linking La Roche-Saint-Secret to La Paillette. This route is quite challenging, but it takes you up Montagne de la Lance to admire a magnificent panorama and, with a bit of luck, even spot a few vultures.
