Description of the walk

Park along the road under the trees (Chemin des Heaths).

(S/E) Head east to pass in front of the Clos des Heaths.
Follow the tarmac road to the fruit station (large green building) and then the rubbish bins.

(1) Turn left into Impasse du Couleau and descend to the right before the farm, following the yellow markers.

(2) Go over the water tanks to reach Lasprades. The house is fenced off and guarded by two dogs.

(3) Pass the property and turn right along the Ruisseau du Gesse stream at the EDF pole. Walk along the orchard and climb up following the yellow markings.

(4) You will come to a farm and a small tarmac road.
Pass the caravan and follow the road to the D69. (Chemin de Cantayre sign).

(5) Turn right and follow the D69 road carefully for about 200 metres, then turn left towards Tournissou. Continue down a beautiful descent, then up a climb to reach the road (Chemin des Heaths).
- You can make a short detour to the left to see the church in Aussac.

(6) Turn right and follow the road to the crossroads (Hameau de Aussac). Continue along the road that descends to the left.

(7) Turn right onto Chemin de Batut.
You should see some llamas, they are magnificent. The path passes in front of them and you descend to the Batut farm.
Pass between the Batut farm and a small building.
Continue downhill to the property (Bessou) and take the road lined with poplar trees.

(8) Please note: the path branches off to the right after the poplar trees for a beautiful climb with no shade.
Note the oak trees planted on your left.

(9) You will reach the D69 again and turn left, then carefully follow it for about 200 metres.
Take Impasse de Pechiniez on the right, then take the path on the right that passes under the farm. Descend into the undergrowth where heavy rain has carved out the path.

(10) Climb steeply to the right for 300 metres.

(11) A shaded path will take you to the car park (S/E).

The route description was impeccable, with welcome safety advice. The only slight downsides were that the llamas weren't there and I found there were a few too many road crossings. I highly recommend this hike, even though there are some steep climbs, especially towards the end (which are used for trail running). Ideal for training before tackling a mountain hike.

A very pleasant walk, despite the inevitable muddy patches at this time of year and the unpleasant surroundings of some of the farms at the start of the route. The description and signposting are perfect.

Major problem with passage at the end of the route on PRIVATE PROPERTY; as a result, this route should no longer be offered until the modification has been made!
