(S/E) From the cemetery car park, join the D151 and follow it to the left until you reach Lauroux.
(1) Before the bridge, turn right and cross the stream. Return to the D151, then leave the road on the right (footbridge). Join a track. Turn right, then immediately left. Find another track. Turn left, continue between the hedge and the vineyard, then climb through the vegetation. Further on, descend (slippery), cross the ravine and reach an open area.
(2) Climb up to the right (viewpoint) onto the plateau (risk of fog). Head left, enter the forest, climb up and join a path. Head left under the rocky outcrops (viewpoint over the cirque and the hamlet of Labeil). Pass a rockfall (caution). Further on, cross a gap in the rock (junction with the Le cirque de Labeil circuit).
(3) Descend the switchbacks (slippery). The trail zigzags and crosses a water pipe. Continue until you reach the hamlet of Labeil (equipped cave and underground river of Labeil).
(4) Climb up to the right onto the road. A few metres further on, turn left onto a path. Continue along the ledge, under the cliffs (stay on the path, as it is dangerous to stray from it). Further on, pass a collapse (be careful) and keep left on the path. Climb up through the undergrowth and join a track (junction with thePR® De l'Orb à l'Escandorgue).
(5) Go left, pass the Roquet Escu picnic area and continue straight ahead into the Escandorgue forest (risk of fog). The path winds through conifers and beech trees, then reaches a metal gate (separation from thePR® De l'Orb à l'Escandorgue).
(6) Opposite, the trail crosses a jumble of ruiniform rocks. At the edge of the plateau, descend to the left and continue along the hillside (viewpoint). At a conifer plantation, descend to the left. Find a path, turn right and cross the plantation. Stay on the path on the left and, at the next crossroads, descend onto a track. Turn right until you reach a bend.
(7) Reach the Frontal viewpoint (300m round trip, 10 minutes). Continue to the right, then leave the track on the left and descend along a stony path. At the end of the descent, cross a passageway. Reach a track; take it to the right, then turn left down a path and join another track. On the left, head towards Lauroux. Follow the outward route to return to the starting point (S/E).
