Black route of Les Cluzeaux

From the heart of the village of La Rochebeaucourt, take an easy walk to Les Cluzeaux d'Argentine, one of the most remarkable sites on the plateau. Only the outward route is signposted, but you can return via the same path or extend your walk by joining other signposted trails around the nearby church of Argentine or, a little further on, the Plateau d'Argentine car park.

Description of the walk

Starting point at the fairground in the village of La Rochebeaucourt.

(S/E) With the Champ de Foire on your right, leave the village heading south on the Route de Ribérac (D3012), passing the cemetery and the departmental road (D12).

(1) When you reach the Baix wash house, follow the departmental road to an old stone loading quay.

(2) Leave the road and take a path opposite the quay that climbs up to the plateau.

(3) At the first fork, take the path on the right and continue climbing. Pass a path on the right leading to the entrance of an old quarry.

(4) A little further on, take a narrower path on the right that leads to Les Cluzeaux.

(5) Return via the same route in the opposite direction to the fairground (S/E).
