Parking is available at the picnic area or in the car park of the Rue du Stade secondary school. Map of the circuit - Town of Labenne.
(S/E) From the picnic area at the stadium roundabout, head to the right side of the Route Océane (D216). Cross it and follow the signs along the route. Walk along the cycle path back towards the village for about 200 m until you reach tree no. 1: a black poplar.
(1) Turn right and continue straight ahead, following the signs. Turn right to go behind the school, then left to rejoin the cycle path further down. At the school entrance, cross the road and turn left to walk along the primary school under the trees. Continue to the end of the path.
(2) Turn right onto the wide sandy track. On the right is a eucalyptus plantation. Continue along this path, pass behind Labenne Zoo, arrive at a left-hand bend and finally at the metal bridge over the Boudigau stream.
(3) Just before the bridge, take the path on the far left, which climbs slightly (follow the signs). About a hundred metres away is tree no. 2: a cork oak, opposite a eucalyptus plantation.
Continue along this small path overlooking the Boudigau, which after about 400 metres leads to a wider path with a wooden bridge on the right. Turn left and follow the wide path until you reach a delta-shaped crossroads (crossroads).
(4) Continue straight ahead for about 50 metres. After the first water well, at the hunting car park, turn right and continue along the wide path. After about 200 metres, you will reach trees no. 3 and 4: the old pines. Continue to the second water well.
(5) Go around it on the right, take the path on the right and follow the long straight line, passing in front of the third drinking water borehole in the municipality of Ondres. Continue straight ahead to discover tree no. 5 on your right: an old cork oak. Continue to the intersection, opposite the Boudigau stream. Turn left and follow the stream to the next intersection. On your right is tree no. 6: the three-forked pine tree.
At the intersection, take the path on the left, cross a long clearing (tarmac surface) which leads to a plot of pine trees planted in a row. Continue for about 500 m to reach a crossroads.
(6) Turn right and a few metres further on you will find tree no. 7: the very tall pines.
Continue along the path until you reach the first houses in the village. Take the private road slightly to your right to reach tree no. 8: the oak tree.
Continue straight on towards the village, then cross the road at the electricity transformer. Now take the cycle path for a few dozen metres until you reach Rue de Stounicq.
(7) Turn left shortly afterwards, at the recycling bins, and note tree no. 9: a magnificent umbrella pine. Just behind it, in the middle of the delta, is tree no. 10: the old oak tree.
Continue along Rue de Stounicq, turn left, leaving the dead-end road on your right, until you reach the intersection with the cycle path. Take it on the right (Rue des Marguerites). At the fork in the cycle paths, cross the road and continue left along Rue des Châtaigniers until you reach the roundabout.
Go a few dozen metres to the left, then cross the road leading to the beach, return to the roundabout still on the cycle path, then turn left along Route de l'Estèle. At the intersection of the cycle paths, continue straight on towards the sorting point.
(8) Take the path on the left that climbs into the forest and winds its way up to the ridge. Continue along a small path to tree no. 11: a beautiful cork oak.
Continue climbing steeply to the last remarkable tree, no. 12, where, on a clear day, you can see the ocean.
Descend to the left, then turn right at the crossroads (Chemin de la Montagne) until you reach a wide sandy track. Turn left to return to the picnic area (S/E).
