A lovely, well-signposted walk through the forest with a variety of paths. The sign says “Hikers’ car park” – we’re made to feel very welcome! There’s also a sign from the French Hiking Federation indicating that pedestrians are permitted to cross a private plot of land. Watch out for large puddles in places.

A beautiful, long walk through the woods of the Pays d’Ouche.
The route is signposted from start to finish with yellow markings. Follow the signs if you’re unsure, but the 🟡 is more than enough to ensure you don’t get lost.
Little or no elevation gain, some litter and rubble left behind by inconsiderate people, and remarkable trees all along the way.

The Comtesse Route in Beaubray.
Hello,
No beautiful houses, no rivers, no magnificent views, but a walk that takes place almost entirely through woodland and is very, very pleasant.
One of the walks I’ve enjoyed the most, with a bit of elevation gain and a bit of road walking.
The GPS points diverge slightly from the route at times.
A few animals – deer, hares – and birdsong
