(S/E) From the square, walk past the large house and its garden to reach Rue du Puits de Cherves. Head downhill to the left; you’ll see the well on the right just before the RD 91.
Cross carefully to take the path opposite. A second well lines the path at the entrance to Petit Cherves.
Take the RD 113 to the right.
(1) Turn left after the village exit sign. Walk alongside the hedge and continue through the fields. Turn left at the edge of the woodland and continue for 700 m.
(2) Turn left at the junction before the village of La Motte, where you can see the farmhouse before turning. Continue to the RD 91, which you cross carefully to take the path 20 m to the right that crosses the fields. Ignore a path on the left.
(3) Continue straight on at the junction. The path descends gently to the next crossroads.
(4) Turn left onto the old Roman road which crosses the village from north to south. Cross the RD 113 carefully and continue straight ahead for about 1 km, passing three paths on the left.
(5) Turn left at the edge of the small wood, then left again at the next junction. Ignore the path on the right.
(6) Turn left at the small copse. Walk uphill to the village, entering via Rue du Logis de Torsac. Turn left at the end to return to the starting point (S/E).
