Chemin des Pibouls

Whether on foot or by mountain bike, this undulating walk through the vineyards of Malepère will reveal stunning views of the Pyrenees, as well as the Montagne Noire and the Lauragais plain. You’ll also visit three charming little villages known as ‘circulade’.
This walk is not recommended in hot weather as there is no shade.

(8) Leave the road and take the path on the right. Walk alongside a pond on your left, continue uphill through fields and vineyards until you reach the road.

(9) Turn left onto the road and follow it to the fork.

(10) Turn right and head towards Brézilhac. Pass the old fountain on your right and enter the village. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead along the street marked ‘No Entry’. At the top of this, turn left onto Allée des Pyrénées and walk past the church. Turn left just after the church to follow Rue de l’Église until it joins Route de Mirepoix.

A lovely walk enjoyed by 23 occasional walkers, with an average age of 35, who were delighted by the quality of the trails, the views of the Pyrenees, and the beauty of the region.
We had lunch in Ferran in the town hall garden, where the friendly mayor told us that, on request, a group could be served drinks or meals in the village hall.
This hike is outstanding.
Thank you

Hello;
Hike taken this Sunday, 26 November. Superb, clear weather, a bit of wind, a nice, cool Cers breeze.
There’s still time to enjoy the palette of these autumn colours. The whole route climbs gently and descends just enough; the patchwork of vineyards and ploughed fields takes shape in the distance beneath a deep blue sky.
A lovely little day out, setting off around 10.30 am, with a picnic halfway along at the orientation table area, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped Pyrenees.
Thank you for suggesting this.
